Get started with Unreal Engine! We’ll walk through the editor layout, importing assets, lighting basics, and post-processing — giving you a strong foundation to build on.

Session 3 – Materials and Shaders
Explore the Material Editor from a VFX artist’s perspective. Learn how to use UV space creatively and build dynamic, game-ready shaders that react and evolve.

Session 4 – Intro to Niagara
Dive into Niagara — Unreal’s powerful particle system. Understand its architecture, the logic behind particle behavior, and start building custom effects from scratch.

Session 5 – Bonfire
Bring it all together with your first full effect: a stylized bonfire. We’ll use advanced shader tricks, particle systems, and level integration to create a polished in-game asset.

Session 6 – Tornado & Final Project: Portal
Push your Niagara skills further by creating a semi-realistic tornado with animated parameters in Sequencer.
We’ll also kick off your final project: building a stylized portal that combines everything you’ve learned — from modeling to shaders and particles.
